Once reserved for highly specialized or particularly complex situations, treatments such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), ketamine-based therapies, and deep brain stimulation (DBS) are becoming increasingly important components of modern psychiatric care. This meeting is founded on a simple conviction: advances in interventional psychiatry can only fully benefit patients if they are meaningfully integrated into everyday clinical practice.
